Rescheduled: Hike James Glen/Woodja Hill/Doanes’ Woods Preserves

Join us on an invigorating 2.5-mile hike through three abutting land trust properties: Woodja Hill, Doanes’ Woods and James Glen.You will discover varied flora and wildlife habitats of open field, upland forest, wetlands, beaver pond and vernal pools.

Purchased in 2018, Woodja Hill is an 18.5-acre ridge property; Doanes’ Woods Preserve is a large flat wooded area which drops steeply to the east and adjoins the James Glen preserve, a lightly wooded, four-acre stream valley and the oldest of the three properties. These preserves include a wooded ravine with creek and rock outcroppings.
