Essex Pollinator Pathway
The Essex Land Trust maintains the Essex Pollinator Pathway as part of The Pollinator Pathway Northeast. There are three anchor locations:
- Cross Lots Meadows – Established in 2016 – 40 West Avenue
- Diz Callender’s Garden, Osage Trails – Established in 2018 – Foxboro Road
- Essex Historical Society’s Pratt House Garden – Established in 2020 – 19 West Avenue
Through the creation of pocket pollinator gardens, we increase habitat connectivity by providing somewhere for pollinators to stop and refuel as they travel through urban spaces to larger open spaces during their migration. The diverse plantings provide a variety of pollen and nectar across three seasons.
